The Academy enjoyed more sporting success this week with a fantastic victory for the Under 16's Girls football team over Grangefield School.

The under 16 girls football players from Year 10 and Year 11 travelled to Grangefield School, Stockton for their first round match of the Cleveland County Schools Cup.

They put on a formidable display with captain Beth McGhee and Becky Boyle controlling the midfield throughout. Ros Blenkinsop was very solid in defence, limiting the damage of any Grangefield attack.

Macmillan ran out 8 - 0 winners with a hat trick from Lorni Robson, 2 goals from debutant Jess Owens and a goal each from Jade Carey (on debut), Lisa Begley and Becky Boyle.

Player of the match votes were shared between Beth McGhee and Becky Boyle.

They now play Dyke House School, Hartlepool in the next room.

Well Done!
