On Tuesday 13th June a group of 20 Year 8 students attended the Middlesbrough Schools Cycling event held at the Cycle Circuit at Middlesbrough Sports Village. The students all competed in an individual race which was 5 laps for the boys and 4 laps for the girls. Macmillan had a successful time in this race taking the top 5 boys' positions (Dyland Savvery 1st, Cain Clark 2nd and Spencer O’Connor 3rd) and in the girls' we took the top two spots (Bethin Boyle 1st and Claudia Shpata 2nd).
The 3 boys' teams then competed in the relay against each other to decide which team would go into the final against UCA. The X band boys won the race, with Y band second and the mixed team 3rd.
