A very successful field trip for Year 10 geographers took place to the North York Moors. In preparation for their examinations next year they undertook various data gathering techniques along a river's profile.

A very successful field trip for Year 10 geographers took place to the North York Moors. In preparation for their examinations next year they undertook various data gathering techniques along a river's profile.

They completed a number of activities from investigating the rivers velocity (speed) to measuring the depths and diameters of the rivers profile. The students will use this data to create a mini project that will demonstrate their understanding of the characteristics of a river's profile.

The students were a credit to the academy and did extremely well whilst battling some very tough weather conditions including a hail storm! Well done Y10 geographers.
