During the first two weeks of June, Year Nine students from all three bands enjoyed a two day enterprise programme at the Riverside Stadium.  Activities included tasks designed to encourage:

  • Problem solving
  • Innovation
  • Creativity
  • Can-do attitude
  • Risk taking

The aim of day one was to aid students in developing their personal strengths, with a strong focus on preparing them for their GCSE options.  The main theme of day two was very much ‘hands on’ with a fun and interactive recycling challenge.
Students had the opportunity to develop their group-work skills when carrying out a number of different tasks, which included designing their own football stadium and building a statue to be displayed in the grounds of the Riverside stadium.  Miss Hill was impressed with the creativity shown by the groups and thought that the group who invented the "Go Go Girls United" club with its handbag shaped stadium was worthy of a special mention!
