On Tuesday 26th April, four of our most talented mathematicians from years 8 and 9 competed in the United Kingdom Mathematics Trust 'Senior Team Maths Challenge' regional final. The event was hosted by Macmillan Academy with 22 other schools from the North East competing fiercely for the title of Regional Winners. After four tough rounds the results were: third place to Teesside High, second place to Huntcliff School and our amazingly gifted team from Macmillan emerged as the champions!

Mr Latham proudly presented the winning team of Joe Shepherd, Sophie Lane, Bradley James and Riya Thomas with their certificates. The team will now go through to the National Final at the Royal Horticultural Halls, London, on Monday 20th June 2016. We wish them the best of luck!
