Our annual Awards Evening was held on Tuesday 8th December in Middlesbrough Town Hall. The evening was a celebration of our students' efforts and accomplishments throughout the past year.

Our annual Awards Evening was held on Tuesday 8th December in Middlesbrough Town Hall. The evening was a celebration of our students' efforts and accomplishments throughout the past year and an opportunity to reward their dedication and enthusiasm. A range of entertainment was provided, including very impressive performances from our Y11 dance students 'Houston Blue' and the cast from Bugsy Malone.

It has become a tradition to invite former students back to the academy to share their stories and offer current students a range of different perspectives and life experiences. We were delighted to welcome Kate Grace as our guest of honour this year. Kate is a former student who left Macmillan Academy 2005 and completed a degree in 'Early Childhood Studies' at Teesside University. Kate is passionate about her career in childcare and has developed expertise in working with children with special needs. She currently works in London caring for two boys aged three and five, one of whom has a rare neurological disorder.
