Art and design students from years 10 and 12 recently visited Yorkshire Sculpture Park to inspire their studies at GCSE and A-Level. With Year 10 currently exploring landscapes and Year 12 exploring sculpture this was the perfect place to inspire new ideas and experience some of the world’s most influential sculptors.

The students were amazed by both the sculptures and surroundings, and actively gathered primary source material which will help them to make excellent progress in their respective projects. The fact that students were able to actively interact with the sculptures gave the students a real sense of involvement with what they were seeing, and for many this was a new and more exciting way of viewing art. The outstanding artwork that we saw was matched only by the students' attitudes to their learning on the day.
