The annual Spring Concert, held on 28th April, was a resounding success and involved students from across all key stages of the academy. This showcased all of the music department ensembles which are held in enrichment time. Highlights included the concert band, junior band, percussion ensemble, choir, saxophone ensemble, jazz band and The Twelve which is made up of Year 11 GCSE students.

There were also solo performances on the night which involved students for whom this will be their last concert. It was a delight to see them perform at such a high standard and they will be missed by the music department next year.

The music awards were also distributed which looks to identify and congratulate the students who are progressing well on their chosen instrument or in a music department ensemble.

A big thank you for all students and staff involved on the night and for the support from the audience who had an enjoyable evening. We look forward to seeing the performers again in the summer musical 'Bugsy Malone'.
