On Thursday the 26th February Year 11 students hosted their annual fundraising fashion show. During the evening the audience was treated to a range of different fashion sections, including formal, dance and multi-cultural wear.

Year 11 students were dressed to impress on Thursday the 26th February as they hosted their annual fundraising fashion show. During the evening the audience was treated to a range of different fashion sections, including formal, dance and multi-cultural wear. The Year 11 Tutors got the night off to a flying start with a well-choreographed dance routine performed to "up town funk".

Two groups of Year 11 students also provided live entertainment through an impressive and energetic dance routine and the second half was opened by Macmillan Academy's own eleven-piece modern band performing "on our way".

The Year 11 students played a significant part in the success of the evening. They promoted the event through assemblies, organised ticket sales in the academy, sold raffles tickets during the evening and supported the models backstage.

Such events cannot be delivered without the kind support of the sponsors 'Joi and Destiny', who provided the clothing in the formal and party-wear sections and our own students who provided clothing for the Asian-wear section.

All monies raised by the event will go towards the Year 11 leavers' celebration ball.
