The Post 16 Psychology and Sociology students recently attended a two day visit to London. The visit included a hypnosis workshop with an opportunity to experience a phobia session focusing on arachnophobia, a fear of spiders.

An informative sightseeing tour of London was followed by the famous Jack the Ripper Walk at night. Following an overnight stay the students then visited the Royal Courts of Justice and were given the opportunity to observe a real criminal trial.

Finally students visited the Sigmund Freud Museum to learn about the historical life of one of the most famous psychologists within the field. This popular visit is one of a number of learning experiences on offer to Post 16 students here at the Academy.
