Students never fail to impress us with their talent on stage. For four months the staff and students had been working on the academy production of Disney's 'Beauty and the Beast' and finally last week they performed to a sell out audience.

All three performances were sold out before the curtain was raised on Tuesday evening, demonstrating the excitement there was for this year's show.

Younger children attended dressed as Belle and many were overjoyed to meet the cast backstage and talk to their favourite character.

Audience members were entertained by the comic, yet sometimes frightening scenes, tapped their feet to much loved songs such as 'Tale as old as time' and 'Be our guest' and were amazed by the wonderful choreography. Each year the number of students involved in every aspect of the production grows and this year was no exception.

From operating the spot-lights and sound effects to performing in front of over 200 people each night, once again the students created a magical event.

A huge well done and thank you to everyone involved and as ever the questions remains: What will we do next year?
