On the 29th March five of Year 10 BTEC dancers took part in the PULSE sub-regional platform for the North East showcase and competition at the Stockton Arts Centre, 'ARC'.

They performed alongside 12 other dance schools from the local area with routines in jazz, contemporary and street dance styles.

Our dancers gave two performances during the evening, one of which was a lyrical dance tribute to the 'hunger games franchise', which went down superbly with the audience as the girls brought to life the story of survival.

The five girls have attended after school enrichment and break time rehearsals in preparation for the competition, showing dedication and commitment as a team as well as enthusiasm for representing the academy.

They were judged during the evening and will be provided with feedback on their performances. One group will be selected to go on in the competition and represent the North East region at UDance. The girls performed extremely well so they have made a good first impression.
