Work has now started (Monday 12 February) on Stockton Road in front of Macmillan Academy to make it a much safer thoroughfare for pedestrians and motorists.

The traffic-calming work is expected to take 6 weeks to complete and will include the creation of a new Zebra Crossing.

As in all such schemes there is bound to be an element of disruption but the contractors will do their best to keep it to an absolute minimum.

Macmillan Academy and the contractors would be grateful if the greatest possible care could be taken by students and drivers during the duration of this necessary work.
