Grow it, Cook it, Eat it enrichment students shared a wonderful cooking and growing experience with mums, dads, grandmas, grandads and siblings at the academy at half term. The families made bread rolls and butternut squash soup, then planted seeds of rocket/cress/herbs to take home. Everyone had a positive growing and cooking experience. Cooking together as a family has many benefits including enabling children to develop a skill that they can use for life, children are more likely to eat healthy foods and positive cooking experiences can help build self-confidence.
