Teachers and students in Year 9 have embarked on a new eCurriculum scheme that has the potential to change how all students in the Academy use ICT to support their learning.

The scheme has been made possible through the financial support of parents who have agreed to make a regular voluntary contribution. Without this partnership between parents and the Academy the scheme could not have gone ahead. Students in Year 9 received an iPad mini to use both in lessons and at home. In their first session they learnt how to keep their iPad safe and secure and agreed to use it responsibly to support their studies.

Staff and students eChampions will be responsible for leading training and helping students and staff to get the most out of the eCurriculum scheme.

The eCurriculum scheme also means that every student will have access to Frog, our virtual learning environment. Frog will be used to help students organise their learning and workload. Every student in the Academy will have an account and will have their homework set using Frog from September.
