On Friday 19th April all Year 7 students participated in a Cancer Research UK charity event called 'Race at Your Place'. The event was organised by the Year 11 BTEC sport students.

On Friday 19th April all Year 7 students participated in a Cancer Research UK event called 'Race at Your Place'. The event was organised by all the Year 11 BTEC sport students who encouraged Year 7 students to collect sponsorship and design logos they could wear for the race, showing who or what they were running for. Some students also wore pink to support the cause.

The event was organised as part of the final unit for the BTEC Sport course and Year 11s were helped on the day by Year 10 and 12 BTEC Sport students who acted as event marshals.

Over 230 students and staff took part in the event, which proved a great success. The hope is that Year 7 will raise a large amount of money for a worthy cause.

A huge well done to everyone who participated and made this event such a success!
