Thursday 21st March was a very proud time for Macmillan Academy, when Middlesbrough Institute of Modern Art held its prize-giving after the "Love Where You Live" event had been judged. Mr Marlowe received a cheque for the Art Department for winning first place with his felt-tip-penned illustration of Rosemerry topping with Art-Deco sunrise. Second place was taken by a Year 7 student, with an industrial pencil-drawn view of some smoking chimneys.
Internationally renowned artist, McKenzie Thorpe, presented a cheque to the value of £ 1750.00 made out to Macmillan Academy. Third place went to Ormesby school. Please say a hearty "well done" to the winners when you see them!
