Macmillan Academy's GCSE Catering Students enjoyed a traditional afternoon tea experience at Rockliffe Hall, the North of England's only 5-star luxury golf and spa resort.

GCSE Catering Students enjoyed a traditional afternoon tea experience at Rockliffe Hall, the North of England's only 5-star luxury golf and spa resort.

The students were served a myriad of items including sandwiches, scones and mini- pastries in luxurious surroundings. They were given a short tour of Michelin star chef Kenny Atkinson's newly refurbished Orangery fine dining restaurant, private dining rooms and spa area.

This experience has provided the students with an opportunity to include quality primary research for their GCSE coursework in addition to gaining an understanding of the dishes and presentation required in producing an afternoon tea.
