Year 10 BTEC students spent an afternoon at Roots Farm Shop at East Rounton, near Northallerton in North Yorkshire.

The students have recently been studying primary, secondary and tertiary sectors and they were able to see all three of these sectors taking place under one organisation.

Charlie McElvaney commented "it was a really good and educational visit that combined together all the three sectors that has made it easier to remember".

We did, unfortunately, have one student disappointed as he couldn't buy a pig.

The students thoroughly enjoyed the visit and even got to sample the cupcakes.
