On the 21st June 2012 the very first BTEC Dance showcase took place in the academy theatre.

Students from the Year 10 BTEC course had the opportunity to perform routines that they have learned throughout the year; some of the students even performed solos for the evening.

They performed cultural dances linking to Brazilian Samba, African Dance and Bollywood dance. As well as a contemporary dance, jazz dance and musical theatre style performances. They were joined on stage by the dance enrichment group who performed large group dances to provide the BTEC girls with a chance to change and a quick rest.

Overall the evening was a great success and a real testament to how hard the students have worked over the last year on a brand new course. We are all looking forward to next year's show.
