Friday 11th May saw the annual Year 11 Leavers' Ball take place at the Academy for the Class of 2012.

The torrential rain could do nothing to dampen the spirits of the students as they arrived in all their finery, in a vast array of different modes of transport for the evening's celebrations.

On entering the venue the students were bowled over by the stunning Grecian themed design and delighted by the entertainment which ranged from footage of their first day at the Academy back in 2007 to performances from their most talented peers.

 The evening was truly spectacular and created memories that the students will no doubt treasure for many years to come.

The Academy would like to thank Cherry Hill Garden and Landscape centre for providing the trees used during the night.
