We are delighted to report that the charity auction night organised by a very special Year 11 student was a huge success and money raised exceeded all expectations.

Massive thanks goes to all those staff, students and guests who came along to support the event, which was in aid of James Cook's neonatal unit. An amazing total of £4, 250 has been raised which will be used to buy specialist equipment to help save the lives of premature babies in Teesside. This is an incredible individual achievement and will undoubtedly set the standard for future charity endeavours within the academy.

Hosted expertly by Mr Wilson-Stonestreet, the auctioneer for the evening, the event was described as, "a warm, fun and enjoyable evening". All those who arrived at the Academy came with enormously generous intentions and the auction of fifty-five items achieved an impressive total amount.

This event also showcased some of our students' talents as the audience was treated to high quality singing performances. Thanks to those performers who helped to provide such high quality entertainment.
