Ellie Dalton, a Year 11 student, has gone to great lengths to organise an auction of celebrity merchandise to raise funds for local neonatal units.

After writing to over 200 celebrities, Ellie has been able to put together an impressive evening of fund raising to be held at Macmillan Academy on Tuesday 31st January from 5pm -7.00pm.

This was in direct response to the loss of her cousin Brooke Ingles. Brooke was 8 weeks old when she passed away after losing her fight against an on-going heart defect, known as pulmonary atresia ventricular sceptical defect.

Ellie was so moved by the care and support that Brooke had received from the neonatal units based at James Cook University Hospital and The Freeman Hospital that she felt compelled to raise as much money as she could.

The evening will include a raffle and high quality entertainment from Macmillan Academy students in between the auction of highly desirable items, which include; a limited edition Ferrari top signed by Philippe Masse, football boots signed by Stuart Downing, a signed album of Olly Murs and over 50 other items, all of which are up for grabs to the highest bidder.

Tickets can be purchased in advance at the price of £1.50 or are available on the night at the price of £2.00.
