Staff and students at Macmillan Academy are celebrating another set of excellent Post 16 results.

The average points score per student was 310 UCAS points with an A Level pass rate of 98.7%. These results are a reflection of the hard work of students and dedication of Post 16 teaching and support staff at the Academy.

It is exceptionally pleasing for the Academy that so many students achieved their first choice offers at university, especially due to the competitive nature of applications this year. Whilst the Academy is proud of the achievements of all students, there were some exceptional individual results.

Joseph Nelson will be going to study Natural Sciences at The University of Cambridge. Gemma Adams, Rabab Arshad, Mediya Mahmood and Sobia Hussain are all going to study Medicine. Furthermore the following achieved A* or A grades in at least 3 subjects: James Blenkinsopp, Rebecca Boyle, Emma Burridge, Deanne Lockington, Leena Malik, Jack Martin, Rebecca Pink, Lauren Shildrick and Hannah Turnbull-Tilley.

Students following vocational courses also achieved impressive results.
