Friday 13th May was the night for the much anticipated Year 11 Leavers' Ball. This is the biggest social event in the Academy year.

Friday 13th May was the night for the much anticipated Year 11 Leavers' Ball. This is the biggest social event in the Academy year and a very special celebration for the students who are about to come to the end of five happy years at Macmillan Academy.

This year's event had a 'masquerade' theme and the dining room had been transformed into a fabulous party venue with its own large dance floor. Students enjoyed a meal with and watched the hilarious video, 'Grease' starring and produced by all the Year 11 tutors!

As usual students arrived in style and had really taken time and effort to make sure they looked their best. Many staff had come just to watch the students arrive and see them in all their finery and were impressed by how stunning many of them looked!
