The annual Easter ski & board visit to Austria was a great success and much enjoyed by all students and accompanying staff.

The Easter snow conditions improved as the week went on with fresh snow on the third day providing half a metre of fresh powder and more snow throughout the week.

From day one on the slopes students were skiing and boarding at 1800 meters at Kitzbule, with fabulous panoramic views over the Austrian Alps.

Most days involved all students and staff meeting up for lunch at a mountain restaurant and swapping stories of who had had the best falls or had gone the fastest. By the end of the week all of the groups had progressed on to some of the more demanding runs on the mountain with a couple of groups even undertaking some of the black runs.

As with previous ski trips, there was much more than just the skiing and snowboarding. Every evening students enjoyed activities including; swimming, bowling, curling, shopping, Mr Taylor's fantastic quiz and a disco.

The students were an absolute credit to themselves and the Academy. Mr Marlowe said that the students were a real credit to the Academy and that he could not have asked more from them during the week, adding, "It was a real pleasure to take them on the visit and see them making so much progress and enjoying themselves".
