Macmillan Academy SEND Department would like to invite you to a SEND Conference to support your child with reading, on Thursday 7th July 3.30-4.30

The event will take place in the media suite and light refreshments will be available on arrival at the main reception.

The conference will provide an opportunity to meet the SEND team at Macmillan Academy and then Ms Lambert, literacy lead and phonics teacher. The evening will focus on how to develop a love of reading and how to develop children’s automaticity and prosody. It is important as developing students reading ability, helps them to become successful in all of their curriculum subjects. Reading is also associated with social, emotional, and physical health. Students are not required to attend the meeting.
