Macmillan Academy students are not easily deterred from their learning and have made the most of the weather conditions that have caused so much chaos elsewhere on Teesside. Despite a minority of staff being unable to get in to work on Monday 29th, it was business as usual for the academy.

The Art Department enjoyed the opportunity to involve students in creating some excellent snow sculptures and students got photography tips from the studio team, who got out and about taking some images of the academy in the snow.

English teacher, Mr. Reed used the snowy backdrop today to record a promotional video for his enrichment group 'Mac Factor' charity CD which was recorded last week in aid of Teesside Hospice. Watch this space for more info on how to get hold of your copy of this impressive album, featuring 12 tracks performed by Macmillan students!

Please see our 'important information' updates throughout the period of poor weather as some trips and visits do unfortunately have to be cancelled for safety reasons.
