Well done to Jack Rawlinson (Year 11) who has been recently crowned a National Champion after beating fifty nine other competitors in the Junior Specials Class (12-16 year olds) in the National Autograss Championships.

Autograss is Britain's most popular form of amateur motor racing. It is usually on quarter-mile dirt oval tracks (often a farmer's field). Although highly spectacular to watch, it is first and foremost a participant sport. Junior drivers may start racing at 12 years old, moving into the adult classes at 16.

Jack's car was built at home and contains a Corsa engine, steel chassis and is rear wheel drive. Having reached the upper age of the Junior Class, Jack will now be moving into the senior class of the competition driving a single seater car with over 370bhp.
