Check up on how our Rugby Academy is doing with some match reports from our latest fixtures...

Both the Post-16 Rugby Academy and Year 10 rugby teams were involved in opening fixtures of the season on Wednesday 15th September. Macmillan Academy won 37-15 against Manor College of Technology in the Under 15s Daily Mail National Cup Round Two, and will play Durham School in the next round.

Also, in a friendly against Darlington College, the Rugby Academy team won their match 34-14 (See full match report in the Sport Section). New players have impressed coach Mr Richardson with their skill and dedication.

Macmillan's Rugby Academy play matches every Wednesday afternoon and spend six hours per week training with their coach to develop both skills and physical condition. Students playing for the Rugby Academy all perform at club level or equivalent and are focused and committed to the game. If you'd like to support the team and watch some high standard school rugby, speak to Mr Richardson to find out more about upcoming fixtures.
