On Monday 14th June 195 Year 9 students and the Year 9 tutor team took part in the annual Reward visit to Flamingo Land. The students had earned the visit as a reward for high standards of attendance, attitude and achievement during the course of the Academic year.

On arrival at the theme park the rain, which had continued through the journey from the Academy, ceased and the sun began to shine enabling the group to make the most of all the attractions on offer.

From the heights of the Mumbo Jumbo to the twists and turns of the Kumala the rides were enjoyed to the full. Some students also spent time observing the array of wildlife at the park.

Mrs Barrett, Head of Year 9, along with the Year 9 tutor team commented that the behaviour of the students attending was exemplary throughout the day and as a result it was an extremely successful visit for all concerned.
