Macmillan Academy is proud to have won the Award for Sustainable Schools at the North of England Teaching Awards.

Congratulations to all of the students on the Eco Council and to Dr Wake, Mrs Cambell and Mr McCallum who have all contributed to a major success for the Academy in winning the Award for Sustainable Schools in the regional finals of the Department for Schools Teaching Awards.

Student representatives were delighted to accept the award on Friday 11th June, which is seen as fitting recognition for all of the progress made by the Eco Council over the past five years in pushing the sustainability agenda.
