Macmillan Academy has been confirmed as a finalist for the Teaching Awards 2010 in the DCFS Sustainable Schools category.

Macmillan Academy has been confirmed as a finalist for the Teaching Awards 2010 in the DCFS Sustainable Schools category.

Judging took place on Wednesday 21st April and the judges were very impressed with everything they saw here at the Academy. We are now in the Regional Final (N, NE and NW England) and the announcement of the winner will be made at a special event in Leeds on Friday 11 June. The national final will be in October in London.

The Operations Director of the Teaching Awards wrote to offer congratulations, saying that, "Getting through to this stage is a fantastic achievement and one which I hope you will celebrate with the whole school community."
