Macmillan Academy are hosting the Student Librarian Training Scheme Award Ceremony at 7pm on the 28th April.
Macmillan Academy are hosting the Student Librarian Training Scheme Award Ceremony on Wednesday 28th April at 7pm. The scheme is organised by the Schools Resources Service and approximately 350 students, parents and staff are expected from twenty-three schools around the county. Mr Alan Gibbons, an award winning author will be the guest speaker and will be presenting the certificates to the students who have successfully completed the scheme. Macmillan Academy has thirteen students who will be receiving an award.
The following day, Thursday 29th April,Mr Gibbons will be in the Academy all day to deliver writing workshops in the Library to Year 7, Year 8 and Year 10 classes. He will also be meeting students and selling his books during the lunch break.
