On Friday 2nd of April the Students from Year 9, 10 and 11 engaged on a 7 day Ski and board trip to Austria. After a gruelling 24 hour coach trip they hit the slopes.

The recent Easter Ski & Board visit to Austria was a great success and much enjoyed by all students and accompanying staff. The Easter snow conditions were excellent, with a day of fresh snow early in the week. From day one on the slopes students were skiing and boarding at 1800 meters at Kitzbule, with fabulous panoramic views over the Austrian Alps.

This was a nine day adventure, by coach from Macmillan to the heart of the Austrian Alps. After a 26 hour journey staff and students arrived to discover a charming historic hotel in a lovely setting, at the base of the valley. The group skied and snowboarded for a full six days, making use of the perfect Easter snow conditions and benefiting from excellent Ski School Instructors.

A full evening entertainment package was included and the Macmillan Academy party made full use of the local sports centre, including swimming pools and water slides. There was also a trip to the local bowling alley and a celebration on the final evening. Hopefully all students have been inspired to continue their sport!

Here is a selection of images from that week.
