Staff and students at Macmillan Academy are celebrating the best ever Post 16 results in their history.

The A Level pass rate this year was 98.4% with over half of the grades being A and B.

The average points score per student was also up to 303 UCAS points which is a reflection of the hard work of students and dedication of Post 16 teaching and support staff at the Academy.

The new Gifted and Talented programme also paid dividends with 4 students getting the grades required for their Oxbridge offers. Andrew Jordan, Deputy Principal at the Academy with responsibility for Post 16, is delighted by the number of students whose results have enabled them to secure their first choice destination at university or in further education.

"This impressive set of results is a tribute to everyone associated with Macmillan Academy in their drive for the highest possible standards" said Ken Fraser, Principal.
