Well done to all of the teachers who successfully completed the Three Peaks Challenge of ascending the three highest mountains in Britain within 24 hours.

Well done to all of the teachers who successfully completed the Three Peaks Challenge on 23rd/24th May. The adventurous group left the Academy on Friday evening and headed for Ben Nevis where they started the challenge of ascending the three highest mountains in Britian within 24 hours.

Having braved poor weather conditions on Ben Nevis, they continued onwards to begin their ascent up Scafell Pike in the Lake District at 4am on Sunday morning, and finally reached the base of Mount Snowdon in North Wales to begin their last climb at 1.30pm on Sunday. Despite suffering with blisters, everyone thoroughly enjoyed the challenge and are deservedly proud of what is quite an achievement.

Mr Cox, Mr Lane, Mr Allen, Mr Boud-Self, Mr Wilson-Stonestreet, Mr Marlowe, Miss Scott and Mr Storer are trying to reach a total of £2,000 in sponsorship for the 'Daisy Chain Project', a great local charity which provides respite care for autistic children and their families. If you have not already contributed but would like to, please hand in your money at Student Services as soon as possible. Thanks for your support.

If you want to know more, please visit the Daisy Chain website, or contribute on Mr Cox's donation page.
