Last month a team from Macmillan competed in the National final of the United Kingdom Maths Trust senior team challenge.

This was the first year a team from Macmillan has competed at such a high level and the team achieved an impressive 19th place out of 60.

Maths teacher Mr Taylor praised the efforts of the students involved, and commented on the strength of the competition: "Many of the most prestigious schools in the country such as Harrow, Eton and Westminster were there and the team can feel very proud of themselves."
