Before half term 16 Post-16 students and Miss King gave up a day to support a local charity.

The students were based at Daisy Chain in Norton. Daisy Chain is a unique charity established to address the needs of both children with autism and their families. They do this through providing a range of services and activities at a farm in Norton.

The site where the project is based often requires maintenance jobs and building work to be carried out. The students spent the day the day supporting the charity by doing jobs such as gardening and DIY. They prepared and laid the foundations for a path through part of the potting sheds that will be used as a community classroom. They also worked hard tidying the pathways around the sensory gardens and children's maze.

After a hard day's work and several cups of tea the students spent some time with the animals on the farm.
