Macmillan Academy are pleased to report another successful year for Post 16 students. Jordan Harker leads the achievement with 4 A grades and 1 B grade and goes to Durham to read History. Le-Anne Troung with 4 A grades is hoping to gain a place at medical school and will follow a number of Macmillan students who have taken that route. Sarah Harrison with 3 A grade passes has become the first to gain a Veterinary Science course.

Sahbina Bashir with A grades in Chemistry, Biology and Mathematics will read Pharmacy. Fern Sobers with A grades in Maths, Physics and Psychology will read Physics at Durham.

Overall the pass rate of 98.4% is above the national average and Principal, Ken Fraser recognises the success of the students in securing University places is in large part through the Academy mentoring and support, in depth career guidance and work with parents on the opportunities offered by higher education.
