Last year, 8 Macmillan students were selected to take part in a Middlesbrough Council project run by the Department for Children, Learning and Families, known as the ‘Learner Contract’ programme.  The students, now in Year 11, were invited to act as ambassadors for an event at the Riverside Stadium on Friday 4th April which was held to celebrate and reward achievement.

Mary Edwards, who organized the event praised the students as being, ‘a credit both to the Learner Contract and their school’ and gave the students Middlesbrough Football Club vouchers to thank them for their work.
