Macmillan students were invited by the Qualifications and Curriculum Authority to give their views on the current Science specifications and whether they are actually relevant to today's young people.

Ian Hinley, Joe Mulligan from Yr 12, Emma Smith and Emily Yeoh from Yr 11 and Joseph Nelson and Katie Law from year 10 all took part in the discussion forum on the 12th February.  Miss Griffiths was pleased when QCA staff commented on how mature and informative Macmillan students’ responses were.  She also added that, “They were very impressed with some of the questions that our students asked”.  Student voice is something which is highly valued at the Academy and it’s good to see that QCA also value students opinions and are using it to inform curriculum design.
