Macmillan Academy took on Hartlepool's Manor School in the Year 8 County Cup Final and won a famous victory when they beat their opponents 6 goals to 0. They are now in the National Schools Cup representing Cleveland.

Another pleasing factor was the positive attitude displayed by all the team throughout the match. The boys were a credit to themselves and the Academy.

There will be those who observe that Manchester United did the same thing to Newcastle United on Saturday afternoon but Macmillan Boys did it first and without any help from Ronaldo or Rooney.

It obviously pays to live south of the Tees.
