On Wednesday 30 June, Post 16 held its first ever Pride event, to celebrate Pride Month. The newly formed Student Union team, along with our new Head Boy and Head Girl were instrumental in it's inception and provided us with a fantastic day.

Students were asked to wear brightly coloured t-shirts in recognition of the colours of the Pride flag. The mood around Post 16 was one of happiness and positivity, and the t-shirts reflected this mood.

Ice creams and sweets were on sale, both of which were enjoyed by staff and Post 16 students, even though it wasn't particularly ice cream weather. The day ended with a fantastic, fun game of dodge ball. Mrs Hill and Mrs Turner watched from the touchline, and, having watched a game, have vowed never to play it!

All in all, a fabulous day was had, and almost £200 was raised. This money is going to be split between the Student Union and a local LGBTQ+ charity.

A huge well done to all who were involved.
