Following on from Girls in ICT Day, we spoke with former student Jess Bolko about her career, working for an international ICT company.

Global figures show a startling economic disparity with women losing jobs at almost twice the rate of men and leaving 47 million more women and girls below the poverty line.

That's why we were keen to share with our students the importance of projects like International Girls in ICT Day. Held this year on the 22 April, it aims to inspire girls to consider science, technology, engineering, and maths (STEM) subjects.

As part of this event, we took time to speak with Macmillan Alumni and former student Jessica Bolko who now works for multinational ICT company ATOS.

This film was also shared with our students as part of the internal broadcast.
