The Annual Macmillan Academy Annual Awards Evening will take place in Middlesbrough Town Hall on Tuesday 11 December at 7pm.

The Annual Macmillan Academy Annual Awards Evening will take place in Middlesbrough Town Hall on Tuesday 11 December at 7pm.

260 students and former students will be receiving prizes for success and endeavour in every area of Macmillan life and in the community. Particularly notable this year is the largest cohort ever to be rewarded for full attendance during the last academic year while five students will be celebrated for not having had a single absence over a period of five years.

Our Guest of Honour on Tuesday is Miss Stephanie McGovern, BSc Hons, a former student who is now a producer on the Radio 4 'Today' programme. Having cut the traditional Awards Evening cake, she will present the awards in front of an audience of some 1,000 guests.

Following the ceremony, all students and guests are invited to enjoy a buffet in the undercroft of the Town Hall.
