Since September Year 10 tutor groups have been competing to be crowned attendance champions in an initiative designed to celebrate student success and allow students to work collaboratively to achieve a whole group award. The competition was very close with the top three tutor groups changing position on a week by week basis towards the end of the summer term. Indeed the two 'powerplay' students in each group, who counted double in the overall table, contributed heavily to the overall attendance of the year group improving from the pervious year when the students were in Year 9.

On Tuesday July 16 the winning tutor group 10BAS and students with significant personal attendance based achievements were treated to a delicious array of chicken and side dishes at a well known restaurant based a stone's throw from Macmillan at Teesside Park.

Well done Year 10 and congratulations to the top three Year 10 tutor groups for attendance: 10BAS, 10OGI and 10LVI.
