Macmillan Academy are pleased to report another successful year for Post 16 students. Jordan Harker leads the achievement with 4 A grades and 1 B grade and goes to Durham to read History.

This year's CaVEs which took place on the penultimate week of the summer term, offered Year 9 students a fantastic opportunity to develop an area of interest within an intensive week long programme.

For a number of years now, the Academy has been highly committed to sustainability and our Eco-Council has implemented many changes and new initiatives. Challenge week was another curriculum innovation which ran in conjunction with the Sustainability week.

In the week beginning 30th June, all Year 9 students took part in Enterprise week. The aim of the Enterprise week was to develop the critical skills; collaboration, problem solving, decision making, communication, creativity, risk taking and innovation.

The Y13 Leavers' party took place on Thursday 26th June at Judges Hotel. Over 90 students attended and had a great night despite the weather forcing the planned barbeque inside.
